Avinash Kota

I am currently working as a SharePoint Administrator for a company know as LCG Systems, which is based in Rockville, MD.

This blog is about my daily experiences with SharePoint, hopefully my experiences can help somebody out there.

I am passionate about SharePoint, Traveling, Cars, Movies,  & My latest interest being Taekwondo!

Though I have been working as an SharePoint Administrator for a few years now, Trust me I am still amazed with SharePoint today, as I was when I heard about SharePoint for the first time.

Hi there, Thanks for the post, I know Todd too, but in terms of a web application with multiple site collections, where say we have domain/sites/MULTIPLE Site collections, would you follow the approach you outlined, we have never entered managed paths in 2007 but just created new site collections… is that essentially your scenario? thx Faheem

Faheem, I would do the same thing too in case you have multiple site collections in a web application like http://servename/sites/sitename!
That was the scenario in my case too!
